Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Tegain Calls is operated by Talrop Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (“Tegain”, “we”, “us”). We build AI calling software that businesses use to dial their own leads, answer inbound calls, and capture structured data from those conversations.

This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we store it, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@tegain.com.

2. Data we collect

Account data. Email, name, hashed password, the company you sign up under, and the plan you’re on. We collect this to give you a working account and bill you correctly.

Lead data. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and any custom fields you upload via CSV, your Meta Lead Ads integration, or that AI agents collect during calls. This data is your operational data; we hold it on your behalf.

Call data. Recordings, transcripts, AI-generated summaries, and per-call metadata (duration, outcome, goal verdict). Used to power dashboards, analytics, and the post-call extraction pipeline.

Usage data. Pages visited, actions taken inside the dashboard, API requests, and IP addresses — used for operational analytics and abuse prevention.

3. Google user data (Sheets integration)

When you connect the optional Google Sheets integration, we ask Google for consent to access your account on a strictly limited basis.

Scopes we request

  • auth/spreadsheets — read and write the spreadsheets you explicitly select inside Tegain Calls.
  • auth/drive.readonly — list spreadsheet files in your Drive so the picker can show them. We do not download, modify, or store the contents of any file you do not explicitly select.
  • openid, email — read your Google account email so we can show you which account is connected.

What we do with Google user data

  • List your spreadsheets so you can pick one in the in-app picker.
  • Read row 1 of the spreadsheet you pick to surface its column headers for mapping.
  • Append or update rows in the spreadsheet you pick, in the columns you configure, with the Tegain Lead data you choose to sync.
  • Store an OAuth refresh token so the integration keeps working without re-prompting you. The token is encrypted at rest and never shown to anyone outside our automated backend.

What we will not do

  • Read any file other than the spreadsheet you select in Tegain Calls.
  • Share, transfer, or sell Google user data to any third party.
  • Use Google user data to serve advertisements.
  • Use Google user data for any purpose other than providing the Sheets sync feature you configured.
  • Allow humans at Tegain to read Google user data — except (a) with your explicit permission, (b) for security investigations, or (c) to comply with applicable law.

Tegain Calls’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect the Google integration at any time inside Tegain Calls at /integrations/google-sheets by clicking Disconnect. We immediately delete the OAuth tokens and stop all reads and writes against your Google account. You can additionally revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

4. How we use your data

  • Operate the service: place calls, transcribe recordings, run goal evaluation, deliver dashboards.
  • Improve the product: aggregate, anonymised analytics on feature usage. We never train AI models on your transcripts or lead data without an explicit opt-in.
  • Bill you correctly and detect abuse.
  • Comply with applicable law (e.g., respond to legal requests).

5. Sharing

We share data with third-party processors strictly to operate the service:

  • Cloud hosting (AWS / GCP) — runs our application and stores call recordings.
  • Google (Gemini APIs) — transcription and AI inference. Subject to Google’s API terms; we do not allow Google to train on your transcripts.
  • LiveKit — real-time voice infrastructure used for placing and receiving calls.
  • Voxbay — SIP trunking for telephony interconnect.
  • Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

6. Storage & security

  • Data is stored on encrypted volumes in cloud regions in India and Singapore.
  • OAuth tokens, API keys, and account passwords are encrypted at rest.
  • All traffic to and from Tegain is over TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Access to production data is restricted to a small set of operations staff and audited.

7. Retention

  • Account + lead data: kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure.
  • Call recordings: retained per your plan’s retention window (30 / 90 / 180 days), then automatically purged.
  • Transcripts + call metadata: kept for the duration of the account.
  • Google user data: kept only while the integration is connected. Deleted on disconnect.
  • Operational logs: 30 days.

8. Your rights

You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@tegain.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction with formal data-protection rights (e.g., EU GDPR, India DPDP Act), those statutory rights apply in addition.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in India, Singapore, or any region where our processors operate. By using Tegain Calls, you consent to this transfer.

10. Children

Tegain Calls is a business product not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
